Submit to Calliope

Read below about how to submit to the Calliope.

Information

The Calliope accepts submissions of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and all forms of visual art including, but not limited to, photographs, paintings, and drawings from undergraduates at all colleges and universities in Ohio. The top three submissions in each of these categories receive cash prizes. The pieces chosen for publication are determined by Calliope staff, and prize winners are chosen by guest judges who are professionals in each category. Note that all of the pieces are judged anonymously by the staff, so they do not know who wrote each piece. If they come across their own pieces, they are not to judge them.
